Theodore Roosevelt became president after president McKinley was assassinated. Roosevelt was the 26th president of the United States from 1901-1909. Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest United States president in history. Theodore Roosevelt was one of the most popular and important to ever serve in the Chief Executive Office. During Theodores Roosevelts time as president he accomplished many things while president. A couple of his accomplishments were created when he introduced the Square Deal. The square deal would address Roosevelts primary concerns for the era, which were the three C’s: control of corporations, consumer protection, and conservation. The Corporation deals with the Department of Commerce and Labor, Consumer protection deals with the Pure Food and Drug Act, and the conservation dealt with the Newlands Act. The first Square Deal C’s involves the Department of Commerce and labor was established on February 1901. Theodore Roosevelt pushed to get congress to pass this law. Many people had a long-standing dispute between labor force and business interest.
